12/17/10

Recently I recieved an email from a fan I met at a show who liked my artwork so much he wanted it tatooed along the whole side of his body. When he asked permission I thought "well maybe he might get it done small on his side".
I was wrong!! I was floored when I recieved an email from him with the pics.
To all those that love the work I do and go to such lengths to show me their gratitude, Thank you!! I am honored!!
And to Steven I am especially honored to know that you have a piece of my work on you like that. YOU ROCK!! All the BEST!!

Monday... aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh back to the grind. I just want to take a moment and say Thank You to all those that came by the table and gave your support. It was great meeting up with old friends and making new ones.
Thank You to all those that grabbed a free poster, I know there those of you waiting for our new book to drop but I hope that the new poster was good enough to ease your appetite.
The expansion of this years APE I thought was cool. Everything looked well laid out and I had trouble walking the floor due to all the cool original work that was there.
More soon.

Well cool kids this machine is back up running now. The reason for the no posts was due to me having to find a new house and moving. The weeks since Comic Con have been pretty packed with lots to do. This has been my first week back on the grind. That being said I hope to be showing you all more work soon.
Keep checking when you can cause this is going to get interesting.

SDCC Day 3 is out now on to 4. SAT.
Well the 3rd day of SDCC has come and gone. Now its SAT!!! For those that know it means mass of mounts of people off work and at the CON.
I would like to quickly mention just a small topic if I could. Con-Funk it’s that over whelming mist of all your other fellow humans that decided not shower and show up to this grand escapade. Not COOL!!
Now SPEEDSTICK and AXE BODY SPREAY or any of you other sweet smelling brands deodorants out there. Come to COMIC-CON set up a booth stations in the aisles and hand out your free packs. Hell your trying to make money and I feel that you need to consider the element of surprise on your marketing campaign. There are a few thousands of people that would love to receive your free smelling packs of goodness. Maybe there are those that don’t know they need it. But let me assure you that there are those that do. And I think it would be at least the one none comic book element accepted here. On behalf of all of us working here at COMIC-CON that fight the FUNK. Help us win the war on CON-FUNK.
Moving on to bigger and better. Yesterday was filled with lots of highs and one huge low. It was very humbling to have two really cool guys viewing my new work series and decide how much and which one of my paintings might need a home.
It’s always fun to talk to the new kid who has come to Comic –Con for the first time. I love giving free sketches out to those people. Just the amazement in the their eyes as they try and take in every aspect and visual overload.
Well it seems this entry will have to be cut shorter then I would like so I will say stay tuned.
All the BEST!!

Writer Chris Williamson and I getting down and signing.

SDCC Day to and on the Move.
For those that are keeping up I’ve been trying to post as much on the Facebook and Twitter.
So just a quick recap on you yesterday. The day revolved around my ass being stuck to my table. I met a tone real cool people and had old friends and fans return. It is always amazing to talk to those all way from other countries who make the trek out her just for this con.
I had a real cool conversation with a woman who was here from Manchester and works in a comic book store. Besides that she worked in a jail for inmate programs and helps run a crisis line for those in need. Along with that worked with group that teaches self-defense for women. Nicole and I thought she rocked and enjoyed talking to her again.
For those that don’t know there is nothing normal about Comic –Con and that comes down to the unique looking people. This guy walked up with a crazy Yosemite Sam mustache with big smiles. This beard had character and amazed me when he turned defying gravity on his face as me moved back and forth in conversation. I asked him is occupation and he replied with wild grin I am a gym couch. I though man that has to be crazy you walk in for the first time to your locale gym ready to work out and you get this guy. Not the waxed down muscle bulging common gym couch. You get the wild smile fire red gravity beard guy who looks like he just walked in off the street and says you ready to work.
Last the day ended with two friends who had bought work from me before trying to decide which painting to buy. That’s always a good problem to see.
Well that’s a quick thing for yesterday.
If you are at the con stop by at Table H12 at Aisle 900. We still have free posters to give out.
On to day Two Stay tuned.
